This is a quick spreadsheet that I try to throw together each month. I list every asset we have separated into a few categories. I like to separate our investments into two categories. Those 2 categories are taxable and tax-advantage (shorthanded as retirement). All of our cash including our vacation fund is included in the “emergency fund” column because, in an emergency, the vacation would obviously be put on the back burner. The most important number to me personally on the entire spreadsheet is that big ugly red on in the lower right corner. My number one goal for 2018 is to achieve positive net worth excluding home equity and we are now within striking distance.
For those of you interested in charts and graphs below I have included a 90 day tracker of our net worth. The lower chart is pulled directly from my personal capital account and it is a graph representing the current asset allocation of our investment accounts.
